I recently caught 'John Carter' in the theater. It was a very weird movie, sort of similar to Pocahontas/Avatar. Not my favorite type of story-line, but I'll overlook that, because the main guy is hot. The whole movie was kind of boring, the effects were average. It was funny at some point, but the fighting scenes mostly consist of ab shots and him jumping around. Didn't care much for any of the characters, except for the dog-like thing. So cute, it runs fast as hell and it's loyal as fuck. I want one as a pet. The ending was obvious, although I did not except the last twist until right at the very end. I liked how they never really gotten into his past, so he does look like some whiny bitch. Which is shocking, considering it's a Disney movie, and most Disney movies like to milk the emotional parts as much as possible. 

3.5/5 stars.

Was going to give it 2.5, but considering this is a Disney movie, it's pretty good. And also because the dog thing was really cute. And did I mention the lead male is hot?
