Just watched the Hunger Games with HC, it was just as I expected it to be. I mean that in the good way. I absolutely love Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss, Josh Hutcherson is a cutie and Woody Harrelson looks exactly like the drunkard Haymitch is supposed to be. But Gale is just very... meh. Liam Hemsworth is hot and everything, but too little screen time for me to care. I kind of wanted/expected more from the fighting scenes, but I understand it has to be PG13, though a little more blood would have been appreciated. They didn't leave out much from the book, just the irrelevant parts, except for the last part were Peeta was pissed off cause Katniss is a lying bitch(still love her though). In the end, it's actually just a kiddie version of Battle royale, but with a badass female lead instead of a whiny, scared school girl. 4/5stars. |
